We are seeking a dynamic Communications Manager at the Assistant Director level to join our EY Americas Industry Group team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive internal communications and engagement strategies for the TMT Industry Group, comprised of three sub-sectors: Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and a proven track record in managing complex communication projects. Your expertise will drive internal collaboration, enhance our market presence, and support our business objectives. Your Key Responsibilities You’ll be expected to create, develop and manage scope and schedule for moderate to complex communications projects for internal audiences. You’ll plan and assign resources to associated tasks and deliverables as appropriate and manage tasks based on project plans. You’ll collaborate with the Industry Group Communications Leader to develop plans designed to effectively communicate strategic objectives and initiatives and anticipate potential objections. You’ll leverage experience, insight and creativity to influence others to consider innovative solutions. You’ll anticipate ramifications of decisions and issues to project stakeholders and present alternatives when obstacles arise.
Skills And Attributes For Success - Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations
- Adept at creating strategic, targeted and impactful communications to inform, inspire and motivate various internal audiences
- Ability to draft, obtain approval for and execute messaging through a variety of channels including webcasts, videos, newsletters, meetings, presentations, emails, daily news, intranet and more
- Strong understanding of environmental factors affecting the firm, the practice and our markets
- Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to deliver compelling presentations, coupled with attentive listening and interpretation abilities
- Showcase proven teamwork and leadership capabilities, with a track record of collaborating across teams and sharing and leveraging best practices.
To qualify for the role, you must have - Eight-plus years of communications, branding or marketing experience
- Demonstrated project management and internal communications experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentations) as well as listening and interpretation skills
- Must be able to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise and easily digestible manner for broad audiences
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, including the development of others
- Possesses poise and confidence to professionally interact with all levels of leadership
- Strong project and time management skills
Ideally, you’ll also have - Skills to leverage available tools and technology to measure impact of communication initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to analyze measurement data to effectively advise leadership and ensure communications strategy evolves as needed
- Ability to be recognized for your communications knowledge, insight and experience within and outside of business unit
- Ability to act as a strategic communications consultant with stakeholders when key business issues are discussed

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96,300 to $180,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,600 to $204,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
