HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Design, implement and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure on AWS EKS
- Develop and deploy containerized application using Kubernetes
- Configure and manage Grafana for monitoring and visualization of application performance
- Implement and manage message queues using Amazon SQS
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Experience: 8+ years in DevOps or a related discipline
- Technical skills:
- Experience in Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and containerization
- Strong experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Experience with Grafana and monitoring tools
- Proficiency in AWS services including SQS, S3, and EC2
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, CI/CD, etc,)
- Strong understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Excellent collaborative technical team member
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Location: Herndon, VA

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
