Job Summary (List Format):


- Position: IT Program Manager (Hybrid, Contract)
- Pay Rate: $60.00 per hour
- Work Location: Hybrid (must report onsite in Atlanta, GA as directed)
- Department: State government agency, Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Aging Services (DAS)
- Reports To: IT Assistant Deputy Commissioner



Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide project management across all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Develop and maintain project management tools (scope, risk, communication, change control, performance tracking)
- Manage project costs, schedules, resources, scope, issues, and risks
- Monitor and report project performance, milestones, and risks to leadership
- Guide project teams, lead status meetings, and advise on scope changes and recommended actions
- Collaborate with steering committee and senior management to optimize project processes
- Lead project kickoff meetings and define roles/responsibilities
- Ensure deliverables meet expectations via product verification and conduct lessons learned reviews



Required Qualifications:
- PMP certification from PMI or equivalent (must provide certification)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or specialized training
- Minimum 7 years of experience leading moderate to high complexity projects
- 7 years of hands-on experience with MS Project, MS Visio, SharePoint 2013, and MS O365
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Teams, and SharePoint
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card



Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience coordinating vendor-managed projects within last 5 years
- Experience in public sector IT and/or outsourced environments
- Executive-level communication skills
