Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.  

SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

DGOC is looking for a Landman to support its operations.  The Landman will focus on resolving issues for our Land, Operations, Domestic Gas, Permitting, Engineering, Midstream and Accounting teams as well as an initial contact point for Lessors and property owners. The ideal candidate will have production-related land field experience and or experience with a reputable Oil and Gas Company.  

Special focus will be placed on:  

• Evaluating and negotiating routine well acquisitions and divestitures  

• Addressing operational hurdles such as access issues, pipeline rerouted and permitting support  

• Ensuring appropriate communications and paperwork are submitted to Management  

• Coordinating requests for domestic house gas and drafting house has agreements when appropriate  

• Obtaining and recording documents from courthouses  

• Resolving routine and complex ownership issues  

• Supporting acquisition die diligence and records assimilation  

• Serving as point-of-contact for assigned projects  

• Researches and provides documentation of leases, rights-of-way, joint ventures, and other types of oil and gas agreements  

• Performs in-house title information gathering, organizes and analyzes title documents to assess rights information, and performs internal title updates  

• Provide support to the Engineering, Drilling, and Operations teams  

• Experience in or ability to prepare and execute leases, rights – of way documents  

• Ability to manage Land Contractors or Land Brokers on a particular project  

• Knowledgeable with Joint Operating Agreements, Farm-ins & Farm-outs, and other Oil & Gas related agreements  

• Ability to identify omissions or errors on a lease or title, takes the appropriate steps to cure them  

• Negotiates and Settles Damage Settlements  

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Land or Business or related field is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Oil and Gas Land field experience with a production company is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Demeanor that will project a positive image for the company
• Ability to work independently with some guidance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Access and Excel), PDF, GIS and oil and gas accounting software programs Member of MLBC or AAPL preferred
