Job Description

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience with mass tort, personal injury practice or products liability
• Experience working with patient medical records and medical terminology
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Bachelor’s degree required

Pluses:

• Experience with Class Actions or Mass Torts
• Degree in paralegal studies or a paralegal certificate
• Bilingual – fluent in Spanish

Day-to-day:

Insight Global is seeking a Case Management Paralegal for one of our law firm clients based in northern, New Jersey. This role will be hybrid remote, working three days on-site, two days remote after an initially on-site training period.

As a Case Management Paralegal, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks on a day-to-day basis. Those include client communication, scheduling, working directly with attorneys and case management. You will perform initial claim viability assessments through medical records review, ensuring a thorough understanding of the case’s potential strengths and weaknesses for new potential clients. You will work with clients to prepare claim packages for settlements and respond to client inquiries making sure you are providing regular status updates and ensure clients are not only informed but understand the complexities of mass tort litigation. Serving as their primary point of contact and communicator, effectively communicating throughout the legal process, fostering trust, and maintaining strong relationships. You will also determine documentation needed to support clients’ claims and move cases through pre-filing investigation, core discovery and litigation stages which could include drafting and reviewing discovery responses and demands and assisting in any pre-trial preparation.
