Job Description

We are seeking a paraprofessional to join the compilation and tax team in our Beloit, WI location. If you feel that you have strong communication and computer skills, and learn new tasks quickly, this may be the job for you! We are accepting applications from those seeking full-time and part-time opportunities.

Essential Functions
  • Work on portions of engagements
  • Assist with data entry for payroll and income tax preparation
  • Support administrative team in a backup capacity
  • Responsible for compliance with due dates
  • Become familiar with firm policies and procedures
  • Become proficient working with firm software for engagements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad conceptual judgment and initiative 
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to focus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy, specifically with Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and paperless engagement software
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbal
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • A valid driver’s license required

 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma with a higher level of education (such as an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance) preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping
  • One or more years of experience in auditing or accounting work, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
