Job Description
Akkodis is seeking an RD Technician for a Contract job with a client in St. Paul, MN . Responsibilities include conducting mechanical and electrical tests and maintaining detailed documentation throughout product development.
Rate Range: $25/hour to $29/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
RD Technician job responsibilities include:
Conduct mechanical and electrical testing (e.g., pull, flex, torque, high voltage/current) following established protocols or verbal instructions.
Set up and operate complex test equipment and ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of testing and development using tools like Excel and electronic lab notebooks.
Support RD engineers by contributing to test method development and participating in cross-functional discussions.
Ensure compliance with quality systems by integrating quality into all aspects of testing and documentation.
Communicate project status regularly and serve as a technical resource for other team members.
Desired Qualifications:
Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent work experience in a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years in RD technical support or a related testing environment.
Proven ability to set up and conduct mechanical and electrical product testing according to medical device standards.
Experience operating and maintaining complex test equipment such as Instron, MTS, or Keyence systems.
