About the Opportunity:
GritHR is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a respected hospital client located in Chicago, IL, seeking a skilled and experienced Recruiter. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare recruitment professional who thrives in fast-paced clinical and administrative environments and is passionate about connecting top talent to roles that directly support patient care and hospital operations.
The Recruiter will play a key role in leading full-cycle recruitment across a range of hospital departments, including both clinical and non-clinical positions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare hiring practices and the ability to build effective partnerships with hiring managers and department leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle recruitment for a variety of hospital roles, including clinical, administrative, and support positions.
Partner with department leaders to understand workforce needs and develop tailored sourcing strategies.
Source qualified candidates through job boards, professional associations, referrals, and networking.
Conduct screening interviews and coordinate the full interview process with hiring teams.
Provide an excellent candidate experience throughout all stages of recruitment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Ensure recruitment practices comply with hospital policies and employment laws.
Represent the hospital at local job fairs, community events, and career expos as needed.
Track and report key recruiting metrics to HR leadership.
Collaborate closely with HR and hiring managers to ensure smooth onboarding transitions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in recruiting, ideally within a hospital or healthcare environment.
Knowledge of healthcare operations and familiarity with credentialing or compliance processes is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels.
Experience using applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
