Senior Project Manager – Substation Engineering Infrastructure Projects
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid Work Model)

Base Salary Starting At: $120,000 + Performance-Based Incentives + Full Benefits Package
*Final base pay will be based on skills, credentials, and experience level.

Role Overview

This position oversees the independent planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex, high-visibility projects that are critical to the organization's strategic goals. Responsibilities include cross-department collaboration, vendor coordination, budget management, and schedule adherence.

Primary Duties Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive project efforts from initiation through completion, ensuring strategic alignment and timely delivery.

• Manage several concurrent initiatives, including top-priority and high-impact projects.

• Possess and apply a strong understanding of internal operations, workflows, and organizational processes.

• Work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment and resource support.

• Select and manage third-party vendors, contractors, and consultants as needed for project execution.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members or support roles.

• Define project scope, deliverables, assumptions, limitations, resource plans, and cost estimates.

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, logistics, and communication strategies.

• Report progress on timelines, financials, and key milestones to leadership and executive sponsors.

• Lead risk management efforts, including identification, mitigation, and contingency planning.

• Serve as the escalation point for project issues and facilitate solutions.

• Maintain detailed documentation such as meeting notes, action trackers, and project updates.

• Develop and present formal updates and progress reports to management.

• Establish project success metrics that align with company-wide performance targets.

• Safeguard sensitive and confidential information throughout all project phases.

• Remain informed about industry changes, new technologies, and best practices.

Leadership Team Support

• May function as team lead or step in as acting supervisor in the absence of a manager.

• Support and coach junior staff or project associates.

Required Skills Competencies

• Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple priorities and balance competing demands.

• Skilled in identifying and solving problems independently.

• Proficient in time and resource management.

• Comfortable working across departments and communicating with leadership at all levels.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience with project management tools and software platforms (e.g., At Task or similar).

• Familiarity with utility, infrastructure, or technical project environments preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree.

• At least 5 years of project management experience, including successful delivery of complex and high-level projects.

• P.E.

• Valid driver’s license issued by the state of Texas.

Working Conditions

• May involve extended periods of sitting or standing and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).

• Full-time exempt role; occasional extended work hours may be required.

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
